Built as a wedding gift for Prince Ferdinand of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha and Princess Maria Antonia Koháry, Palais Coburg has stood as one of Vienna's most remarkable landmarks since 1845. The palace was constructed atop the foundations of the city's 16th-century fortifications, seamlessly incorporating sections of the historic bastions into its architecture.

In 2003, the palace was transformed into one of Vienna's most distinguished luxury hotels, seamlessly blending imperial history with contemporary comfort.
